Rudolfo Garcia

Rudolfo “Rudy” Garcia, 65, of Houston, Texas was a beloved brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He left this world on March 25, 2024, after battling complications from pneumonia. He was born September 21, 1958, in Corpus Christi, Texas to Jesus and Ercilia Garcia. Rudy was ever in love with life.

In his youth, he could be found at the beach with friends, surfing, and making everybody laugh. He studied Studio Art at Del Mar College and went on to work as a professional graphic artist for many years. He saw the artistry and beauty in everything, from exotic cars to sports, interior design, architecture, and music. His enthusiasm was infectious, and he had the uncanny ability to find and infuse humor in the most mundane life circumstances. He was an inspiration to many and a joy to be around.

Rudy is survived by his siblings Jesse (Blanche) Garcia, David (Gregory) Garcia, Belinda Garcia, Lucy Shumaker, nieces, and nephews.

In honor of Rudy’s memory, family will receive family and friends during visitation hours of 5-8 pm on April 4, 2024, with the recitation of the holy rosary at 6 pm. Memorial Services for Rudy will be on April 5th at 10:00 am, at Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine, Deer Park Tx. 77536.
