Anthony Alyn Cline

May 19, 1979 ~ July 20, 2023 (age 44) 44 Years Old

Obituary

Anthony Alyn Cline was born in Pasadena,Tx on 5/19/1979 to Andy & Mickey Cline. He had two brothers Michael & Christopher. Anthony lived in Pasadena & Deer Park his whole life and attended Deer Park schools.

Anthony was a self taught mechanic and knew a lot about cars. He worked for Deer Park Muffler out of high school and continued in Automotive business for many years. He also worked as a welders helper in Deer Park & LaPorte areas. His last job before becoming disabled was in Automotive sales.

Anthony & Jessica married in 2009 and had 3 children, his son Fischer and twin girls Parker & Preslee. He loved his kids dearly. The marriage later ended & Anthony struggled with his problems. He wanted to be a good Dad but did not always get to spend time with them.

Anthony loved to fish & he and his brother Chris would take their young kids fishing anytime they could. He passed his love of fishing on to his son Fischer who now goes fishing every chance he gets. Anthony also loved aquariums and fish and Knew a lot about the different kinds of fish and how to care for them.
He loved plants & taking care of them. He had a certain ritual for getting them started & keeping them growing. He definitely had a green thumb.

Anthony lived in the household with his mother and his nephew Logan. They had a love/hate relationship, sometimes buddies sometimes not. He became the crazy uncle to lots of Logans friends.

In 2020, shortly after the death of his brother Chris, Anthony began showing signs of ALS- Lou Gehrig’s disease and was devastated when he too was diagnosed. He became disabled and unable to work in 2020. He suffered from depression a lot but most of the time kept his entertaining personality. He liked to entertain people with his jokes, stories and little tidbits of information he recalled. He spent a lot if time in the garage blasting out his music ranging from Mark Chestnut to Alice In Chains. He. worked with his plants, potting and repotting. He also liked to go to the little convenience stores and play the machines, “pinging” as his Aunt Lisa used to call it.
This past year Anthony had been in a lot of pain, bit no one could figure out why, numerous ER visits, X-rays but Bo resolution. In early July, he went to ER with pneumonia and while there, the doctors found a spot on his spine. It was cancer that had spread and he was told he had maybe 3-6 months. Unfortunately he didn’t last that long, he thought he had more time but passed away on July 20 at HCA Southeast(Bayshore hospital) with family and friends by his side.
Anthony was not a perfect person, but he struggled to overcome his demons & asked God for forgiveness. He was a kind and caring person who would try to help anyone he could.

He is survived by his children Fischer, Parker, and Preslee Cline of LaPorte, Tx. He is also survived by his mother, Mickey Cline & Don Wester of Deer Park, his brother, Mike Cline & wife Buffy of Crosby, Tx., Aunts, Uncles, his nephew, Logan Cline, nieces Monica, Brittany, Taylor, Cora & Gracey and his girlfriend Angelique Sproles. He is also survived by the Mother of his children, Jessica Maness and her family.

Anthony had many long time friends who will miss him dearly, Bubba Raven, Shane Sanders, Amie Henderson, Jessie Olivares and Jackie Knox, and in later years Karen Tieman and Raul Garza.

We would like to thank his friends, Shane Sanders, Amie Henderson, Raul Garza, and Angelique for being there day or night this past year. He really depended on them to take him around, bring him food, and at the end be his daily caregivers.

Anthony will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. We take comfort in knowing he’s in a better place and no longer in pain.

Rest In Peace, Anthony. Keep on fishing. We will always love you.
