Ashley Elizabeth Wheeler

Ashley Elizabeth Wheeler, 35, of Deer Park, TX, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2024. She was born in Houston, TX on October 6, 1988, to Thomas and Jamie Wheeler. Ashley graduated from Deer Park High School in May of 2007.

Ashley took pride in rescuing animals. In fact, she was a big advocate for pit bulls. She loved the outdoors; the beach was her happy place. Free spirited and full of life. Thrill seeker, never backing down from a challenge. She was a protector. Intelligent and wise. Loved her children fiercely. She had little but would give you the shirt off her back. She could light up a room with her infectious smile. 

Ashley is survived by her three children: Bella Moon Rodriguez, Coral Rodriguez, and Fleetwood Bush and her furchild Nevaeh. Her sister Heather Dunnbier, brother-in-law Matthew Dunnbier, and nephew Wyatt Dunnbier, her parents Jamie Wheeler, Thomas Wheeler, and stepmom Shannon Wheeler. She also leaves behind a large extended family of cousins, uncles, aunts, grandparents, and treasured friends, all of whom will deeply miss her.  

We will be sharing some of our favorite stories, memories, to laugh, to cry, and to remember her wonderful spirit.  We would love for you to join us and share your stories and favorite memories of Ashley at the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors on Friday, June 7, 2024. Family and friends may gather for a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m., followed by the service at 11:00 a.m.
