Blanca Arcelia Gonzalez Salinas "PALOMA" was born in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico on September 16, 1963.
She was born to her parents, Rogelio Salinas Ayala and Sanjuana Benavides Valdez.
She lost her battle to Diabetes and its’ complications and grew her wings on September 13, 2024.
She loved to dance and worked hard all her life...She always had a little entrepreneur in her, she sold Avon when she was young. She Always wanted to have her little money on the side because her independence was very valuable.
All though she didn't have the privilege to go to school and graduate, she was very smart. She worked in hard labor jobs such as agriculture in California. She worked harvesting lettuce, and tomatoes. She worked in Cotton fields, peppers, watermelon, cantaloupe and picking grapes. She was so successful at it that they moved her up to checker and eventually lead foreman. Hard work never frightened her. She always took the challenge and mastered it.
She had her own way of doing things and was always very brave...when her older sister got married, she decided to elope with the love of her life, Efren Gonzalez, with whom she, then later on in life, after many struggles of infertility treatments and attempts, their marriage was finally fruitful and gave birth to her first and very desired daughter, Bianca Gonzalez.
A few years later, to their surprise and without trying, life surprised her with her second daughter, Gladys Gonzalez.
Unfortunately, her marriage came to an end because of obstacles in life and she was forced to take on life being a mother and a father to her girls. She was determined to be the best mom she could be with the hand that life dealt her.
Being a mother was her pride and joy. She raised her daughters to be just as independent as she.
After her girls grew up and started living their lives, daughter, Bianca married Morgan Lane and blessed her with the joy of being a grandma to 2 beautiful boys, Lucian Lane and Julian Lane.
She then moved to Texas and worked in the schools as a janitor...and then many years in the refineries and because of her work ethic she also moved up to management. She passionately pursued a career in cosmetology and earned her GED in 2008. Despite her dedication and hard work, she had to stop due to health complications.
Besides being a mother, she enjoyed being a "granma" as she would call herself to Lucian and Julian.
Her girls Bianca and Gladys and her grand babies Lucian and Julian were her life... "su vida" like she would tell them almost daily.
