Buddy Ray Collier, 83, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2024. He was born on July 25, 1941, and led a life defined by hard work, dedication to his family, and deep patriotism. Buddy served honorably in the U.S. Air Force and later enjoyed a fulfilling career with Delta Airlines.
Buddy is survived by his loving family: his brother Wayne Collier; his daughters, Tamera Collier and Keena Grayson, along with her husband Brad; and his cherished granddaughter, Jade; stepson, Mac Thanonoak Hangcharti, wife Nok, their son, Tommy and daughter, Trisha. Buddy adored his family and was known for being a hardworking, hands-on man who loved fixing things and spending time with his loved ones. His passion for cars and his patriotic spirit were cornerstones of his life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Boonmak Collier, whom he married in Vietnam, and together they built a beautiful life. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Owen Adolph Collier and Frances Cecile Trulusek-Collier; his sister, Dolly Scruggs; his son, Keith Collier; his grandson, Adrian Vargas; and his stepsons, Jack Rakkiat Hongchat.
Buddy lived his later years in Houston, Texas, where his warmth, personality, and smile will be deeply missed.
A graveside service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 19th, 2024, at Carmen Nelson Bostick Cemetery, located at 12317 Holderrieth Road, Tomball, Texas.
