Cathy Robinson Obituary

Cathy Mae (Knight) Robinson ran to the welcoming arms of Jesus on July 12, 2026, and is pain-free in a perfect new body. She passed away peacefully in the presence of her husband, granddaughter, nephew, and his wife. She was born on December 20,1949 to Charles Ray Knight and Betty Knight in Monroe, North Carolina and lived a full life and made sure she told everyone about the Lord.

Cathy is preceded in death by her father Ray Knight, mother Betty Knight; daughter Cammie; grandchild Candon. Surviving and missing her also are loving husband, Michael; son Michael Robinson, Jr. of Houston; cherished grandchildren Brittany Roberts, Kyle, and Courtney Rogers of La Porte; Alec Schweitzer; Kendall Robinson; loving great grandkids Kaiston, Deklan, Cambrie. She also treasured cousins and cousins-by-heart around Texas, Louisiana and North Carolina who shared a great love for one another and life.

Cathy loved serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel with anyone she could no matter where she was. She was a servant of Jesus and worshipped and served at Central Baptist Church of Deer Park. Cathy would tell many stories of when she was saved at Austin Avenue Baptist Church and she taught Sunday school, VBS, and served running the kid’s bus route. Anywhere Cathy went she would approach people in public and ask them, “Has someone told you Jesus Loves You?” She then proceeded to tell people that, “Jesus loves them.” One of her many favorites verses was John 3:16 KJV “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Cathy loved lighthouses! Michael and Cathy would travel around the United States and visit as many lighthouses as they could. She was always known to share many memories of the lighthouses she saw and how many stairs she climbed. Cathy loved all the different vacations with her husband, Cammie, and her kids. One of her fondest memories was when the family was passing through Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. These were days of no cell phones, so they used walkie-talkies to talk to each other from van to van. The family was driving Pigeon Forge, Cathy gets on the walkie-talkie and asks, “Where are all the pigeons? I do not see any.” The family laughed so hard.

The service will be held at Central Baptist Church Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM followed by graveside at Cedar Bayou Cemetery. Arrangements were in the care of Deer Park Funeral Directors.
