Charles Culpepper Obituary

Charles Belton Culpepper was born November 9, 1952, in Camden, Arkansas. He moved to Pasadena, Texas in 1964 and spent the remainder of his life there. He fought a short, but very tough battle with malignant melanoma and left us on May 29, 2024.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents Belton & Dale Culpepper. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Rhonda (Drewett) Culpepper; daughters Kim Artall (Dean) & Melissa Nugent (Doug); grandchildren Miles Artall, Cole Nugent, & Camryn Nugent; sisters Margaret Williams (Paul) & Betty Douglas (Tommy); brother-in-law Randy Drewett (Patty) and nephews Matt Douglas, Josh Douglas (Susan), Dwaine Perry (Amanda); Robert Drewett (Deann) & Bryan Drewett (Valeri); niece Amy Drewett; and many  other cousins, great nieces and nephews, and extended family near and far.

Charles worked for the same company for 45 years until his retirement. He worked in the sales department at United Structures of America (formerly known as Metallic Braden) where he met many of his lifelong friends.

The love Charles had for his family, especially his grandkids, is legendary. On any given weekend, you could find him and Rhonda at one or many of their grandchildren's events from baseball, softball, football, cheer, dance, jiu jitsu, pageants, swim meets, to choir & band concerts. They sometimes racked up hundreds of miles in a single weekend!

If you were blessed enough to know him, you know what a kind, gentle, caring man he was. He loved unconditionally and would do anything for anyone. Even if he didn't have the means nor the energy, he would make it happen. We are all better for having known Charles, lucky to have shared space with such light and grateful to have experienced his love. Please honor Charles by going forward and doing what he did - love your family forever, and ever, and ever, and ever and live life one day at a time.
