Cheryl Colman Obituary

Cheryl Lynne Liska Colman, 48 of Houston, died July 1, 2005 after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her husband of 26 years Edward C. Colman,Four Sons Christopher E. Colman, Andrew L. Colman, Brian J. Colman, and Matthew L. Colman.
Cheryl was born November 4, 1956 in Madison, Wisconsin to Dr Bernard J. Liska, recently deceased Dean of the Aricultural School of Purdue University (retired), and Donna C. Liska currently of Houston. Cheryl is also survived by her sister Julie Liska Espersen, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cheryl graduated from Purdue University in 1978 with a B.S. in Building, Construction and Contracting. Cheryl was a homemaker and enjoyed remodeling homes. She raised her four sons to be outstanding Christian citizens. Cheryl enjoyed the countryside and instilled in her children a love and respect for nature. Cheryl was known for her generosity and honesty, her no-nonsense attitude and plainspoken advice. She was a den mother, a team mom, a member of several PTA's, active in her church, and a mentor to younger moms and her son's many friends. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday ,July 5, 2005, at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church, 12955 Memorial Drive, Houston, TX (713) 468-8356.
