Christos Panayiotis Corovessis, 84, passed away peacefully on April 27,
2024, surrounded by his two daughters. He is preceded in death by his
parents Panayiotis and Marigo Korovessis and older brother George
Panayiotis Korovessis. Christos was born in Greece and immigrated to the
United States to attend Southwestern College and University of Oklahoma.
He graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and worked for Dow
Chemical for 30 years. He was a loving father who devoted his time to
raising his two daughters in Lake Jackson, Texas. When he retired, he enjoyed
spending most of his time with his granddaughters and family.
He is survived by his two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Christina
Corovessis Theile and husband, John of Pearland, Texas and Catherine
Corovessis DAmico and husband, Ralph of Katy, Texas; four granddaughters,
Alexandra Theile, Alison Theile, Victoria DAmico, and Vivian DAmico; brother
and sister-in-law, Niko Corovessis and his wife, Irma of Lake Jackson, Texas;
sister-in-law Kalliopi Korovessis of Chicago, Illinois; nieces, nephews, great
nieces and great nephews, Sophia Corovessis and her son, Niko of Lake
Jackson, Texas, Susan Semmens, her husband, Joseph and their daughter,
Athena of Angleton, Texas, Mary Morris, her husband, Doug, and their
daughter, Amanda and their son, George of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, Peter
Korovessis, his wife, Leticia, and stepdaughter Megan of Chicago, Illinois.
Funeral service will be held at 10 am on April 29, 2024, at St. Basil the
Great Greek Orthodox Church, 1100 Eldridge Pkwy Houston, TX 77077, and
burial at Holy Archangels Greek Orthodox Monastery in Kendalia, Texas. In
lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Archangels Greek Orthodox
Monastery in Kendalia, Texas.
