Darren Wayne Green

Today, we honor and remember Darren Wayne Green, of Houston, Texas, who passed away on April 24, 2026, at 51 years old, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia and other underlying health challenges.

Darren was a son, a brother, a father, a nephew, a cousin, a friend, and a presence that filled a room in a way that can never be replaced. His life was marked not only by the challenges he faced, but by the strength and determination he showed through them.

He is survived by the people who loved him most: parents, Sandra Babb, Ed Babb and Paul Green; his sister Danielle Green, and husband Miguel Castro; his sister, Theresa Marie Green; his nephews, Ruben Galvan Jr. and Raven Green; and most importantly, his four children—Cooper, Vincent, Olivia, and Brooke—who were the center of his world.

Darren’s love for his family ran deep. No matter what he was going through, that love never wavered. His children carry forward his spirit, his strength, and the parts of him that will live on in each of them every single day.

Leukemia may have taken his life, but it never took his will. He faced his battles with a courage that reminded all of us what resilience truly looks like. Even in the hardest moments, Darren showed us how to keep going, how to hold on, and how to love fiercely.

Losing him leaves a space in our lives that cannot be filled. But what remains is the memory of who he was—the laughter he shared, the love he gave, and the impact he made on all of us.

Darren will never be forgotten. He lives on in his children, in his family, and in every memory we carry with us.

Rest easy, Darren. You fought hard, and you are deeply loved.
