Earl was recently recognized as District CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) of the year by his peers. Earl was an extremely active member of his local STARFLEET International Club, the USS Zavala, where he served as the Chief of Engineering. Throughout his eight years as a member he worked tirelessly to promote STARFLEET and shared his deep love for Star Trek with everyone he met. In addition, Earl was instrumental in developing a Boy Scout merit badge for welding and has taught hundreds of scouts how to weld.
Earl leaves behind more than just memories. He left us with lessons, with love, and with a legacy that will live on in each of us. He taught us strength through his actions, kindness through his heart, and resilience through the way he lived his life. Even though he is no longer with us, his presence will always be felt in our laughter, in our stories, and in the moments when we find ourselves remembering the things he said or the way he made us feel. We will also remember him every time we fart.
Energize!
