Edward B. Clendenin Jr. 73, of Montgomery, Tx. passed away on March 6, 2024, in the early morning hours. Edward was surrounded by his family and left behind a legacy that will forever echo in the hearts of those he loved. Ed’s life was one filled with love, integrity and unwavering dedication to those he held dear.
Edward was born September 20, 1950, in Houston, Texas to Edward B. Clendenin Sr and Melba Yohe. Edward was preceded in death by his parents, Edward B. Clendenin Sr. and Melba Yohe and also his brother Stephen Clendenin.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 51 years Martha Gail Clendenin and their two children and spouses: daughter Jennifer DelaCerda and husband Edmundo, his son Matthew Clendenin and wife Adrienne; his sister Kristi Taylor and husband Rodney. His grandchildren which were the light of his life, Tyler Bryce Clendenin, Allyson Zunker and husband Mason, Aiden DelaCerda and Cooper Clendenin; Great grandchild Kensley Clendenin. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends he considered his family.
Edward married the love of his life Martha Gail on January 29, 1973, and they started a family and devoted their life to their two children Jennifer and Matthew. Edward and Martha spent their time between working gardens, camping with friends and family, and having cookouts. Edward loved being at a ballpark with his children and here lately with his grandson Aiden. Whether they were hosting friends or family to a weekend BBQ and pool party, or a vacation with the cousins or even just heading out to a ballgame, Edward was always ready for the next adventure.
One thing that is absolutely for certain, Edward put his family first and has always provided for them all. Above and beyond is an understatement when it comes to his passion for his family and friends. Edward had the biggest heart. From helping you move, to giving you some of the best advice to live by. Those we love don't go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near; still loved, still missed, and very dear. His unwavering love, strength and leadership will be missed by many.
Family invites family and friends to a Memorial Service for Edward on June 1, 2024, at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E San Augustine, Deer Park, 77536.
