Gary Leon Williams, Beloved husband, father, and retired Chemical Engineer from Lubrizol, passed away at the age of 83 on February 27th, 2025. Born in Goldthwaite, Texas on January 31st, 1942, to William Arthur and Reba Aletha. He graduated from New Mexico State University in 1971 with a bachelor’s in chemical engineering. Gary was a dedicated family man who always put his loved ones first. He was a deacon of 2nd Baptist La Porte, where he spent many years teaching Sunday school for adults. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, photography, and spending time with his family. Gary will be remembered for his love of God, family, his good-hearted nature and entertaining sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 61 years and 6 months, Judith, their two sons David and his wife Alicia, Micheal and his wife Jennifer, seven Grandchildren Brady, Shelby, Patrick, Jentry, Chandler, Katie, and Jacob, three great-grandchildren Wylie, Remi, and Sera Phina, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents William Arthur, and Reba Aletha, sisters Betty, and Sharon and daughter Karen. The funeral will be held at 2nd Baptist La Porte on Thursday, March 6th, 2025, at 12:30pm, followed by burial at Grandview Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Deer Park Funeral Directors on Wednesday, March 5th, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm
