Glenn Heasty Obituary
Glenn Nelson Heasty of Deer Park, Texas passed away on July 25, 2023 at 87 years of age. He was born in Wellington, Kansas, graduated from Wellington High School in 1954 and married his high school sweetheart, Shirley, in 1955. They were married 59 years before her passing.
Glenn proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War Era. He retired from Shell Oil in 1992 after 22 years of service. Glenn enjoyed being a member of Shell's bowling team for many years. He loved spending time with family and took great pride in maintaining his beautiful yard. Glenn generously gave of himself to his friends and family. He loved his many pets (including strays) that he kept well fed and loved as a tribute to his beloved wife. Glenn loved to write poetry and had a beautiful singing voice.
He is survived by his five children (and their spouses), ten grandchildren, and 15 (soon to be 17) great-grandchildren. He will be missed by everyone who loved him including his cat Patches.
The family will receive friends for visitation at Deer Park Funeral Directors on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, with funeral services to begin at 12:00 pm. Graveside Military Honors will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 am at Grand View Memorial Park Cemetery (8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX).
