Dependable, Consistent, Honest, Loving, Loyal and Sarcastically Funny. Jack was just a wonderful person. Above all else Jack loved his family. If anyone needed help with anything he was there. It was often said, Just call Jack!
Jack was born April 8, 1960 in Monroe, LA. He attended Louisiana Tech and then graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a degree in Geology. He went to work for Golder & Associates after college and worked there 30 years. Then in 2015 went to work for Spectra Energy, then Columbia Pipeline and after that began working for TransCanada.
Jack led a very balanced life but was happiest when he had a project and there were many. From helping out family, to cooking, to playing around with his 3 fish ponds. His last big project was installing a large deck at the lake. He was constantly working on repairing or remodeling homes. It was good family time. But as Ryan said, don’t buy anymore hoarder houses. Jack did not care, he was up for any challenge.
He enjoyed fishing at the lake…but only if he caught a fish in 5 minutes. If it took longer than that he would say there are simply no fish in the lake.
When Ryan joined Scouts so did Jack. He was Asst. Cub Master and helped for many years with Service Projects, Camping etc. Then when Ryan Joined the DPHS Marching Band Jack shifted to helping handle all the bands equipment for every game and competition. He loved it and was very active in his family’s lives. He loved agitating the grand kids and attending all their functions.
As a member of First Baptist Pasadena, he went on several Mission Trips. A couple of the bigger trips were to Boston and Deweyville. And there were several local opportunities as well. He enjoyed serving where he could.
