James Reece Obituary

James (Jim) Duane Reece passed away on June 16, 2005. Jim was born March 20, 1945, in Houston,TX. He was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Lee Reece and wife Dana Reece. He is Survived by his Mother, Jamie Reece; His wife Colleen, and brothers Curtis L. Reece, Jr and wife Frances, Michael Reece and wife Sally, Stanley Reece and wife Marsha, and sisters Brenda Tolar and Husband Fred, Janelle Staples and Husband Johnny, Four Nieces and Five Nephews, Five Great Nieces and Four Great Nephews. Jim served his Country in the United States Marine Corps from 1963 to 1967 as part of the Amphibious Tractor Battalion, 3rd Marine Division in Viet Nam. Following an honorable discharge on May 1, 1967, Jim returned to Houston and was Employed by Stewart and Stevenson, Inc. Jim was later employed by his older brother Curtis at Mid-Coast Diesel Service in Victoria, TX. Jim concluded his career with Copeland International in Houston. Jim was a true American, proud of his service in the United States Marine Corps, loved by his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him. Memorial Service to be held on Monday, June 20, 2005 at 10:15 AM in the Chapel of Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX. Donations may be made in Jim's name to M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center. Arrangements entrusted to Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E.
