James "Dickie" R. Hoke

James R. “Dickie” Hoke, Jr., of Houston, Passed away peacefully in the evening of June 21, 2026.  He was born in Isola, Mississippi to James and Grace Hoke, who have both preceded him in death.  They were both in his personal care in their final days.  Dickie was “the life of the party”, and he was always able to make those around him laugh with his sarcastic humor.  He is survived by his siblings: Gary Hoke, Cathy Hoke, Mick Hoke, and Phil Hoke; several nieces and nephews; and longtime friends John Calloway and Steve Power, among others.
