Jennifer Cheryl Ellis

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Cheryl Ellis, 55, on September 19, 2024.  Jennifer was born on February 4, 1969, to Kenneth W. Ellis and Marian L. Ellis in Pasadena, Texas.  She was raised in Deer Park, Texas, where she graduated from Deer Park High School. 

Fondly remembered for her quick-witted sense of humor and infectious laughter, Jennifer was an avid historian with a passion for the ‘Old West’.  She had a special talent for quoting her favorite movie series, Lonesome Dove, from start-to-finish, and could sing any Reba McEntire song better than Reba could.   

Jennifer is survived by her daughter, Peyton Ellis, her parents, Kenneth and Marian Ellis, her brother, Robert Ellis, and her nephew, Pecos Ellis.

A celebration of life for Jennifer will be held at Deer Park Funeral Directors 336 E. San Augustine St., Deer Park, TX 77536 on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, with visitation beginning at 11:00 a.m., and service to follow at 12:00 noon.
