Jose "Pedro" Munoz Diaz

Jose “Pedro” Munoz Diaz of Baytown TX, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 26, 2023, at the age of 81.

Jose was born on December 6, 1941, to Pedro Munoz and Francisca Diaz Munoz in Aguascalientes, MX.

Jose was a loving husband, father and abuelito. He leaves his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Irma Velasquez Munoz to cherish his memories and his children: Diana Munoz-Lee (Walter), Marco Antonio, Imelda Munoz-Autrey, Pedro (Angela), Jose Manuel (Erika), Raul (Rosa); grandchildren: Ruben Rivas (Ashley), Julian (Jessenia), Alex (Melissa) and Isaac Sais,  Lauren Autrey, Christian (Lauren), Joshua, Sebastian and Gabriel Munoz, Orion (Mariana), Gilbert and Mia Munoz, Trysten, Elaine and Gweneth Munoz; great grandchildren: Tessa, Makena, Myles and Elijah Rivas, Julian III Sais and Olive Rodriguez, Angel and Luna Sais, Aubrey and Autumn Munoz; brother Ismael Munoz Diaz as well as numerous extended family members and friends.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents Pedro and Francisca “Pachita” Diaz Munoz; siblings Juan Manuel Munoz Diaz

And Esther De La Paz Munoz.

“The Broken Chain”

We little knew that day, God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly, in death, we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you. You did not go alone.

For part of us went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us beautiful memories, your love is still our guide.

And although we cannot see you, you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,

But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Almighty God, we rejoice in your promise of love, joy and peace.

In your mercy, turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life,

And the sorrow of parting into the joy of heaven, 

through our Saviour Jesus Christ, who died, rose again and lives for evermore.
