Judy Dray Gutierrez 78 of Deer Park, Texas shed her earthly body, gained her angel wings, and made her graceful exit to be with our lord on January 30th, 2025.
Judys life began on January 24, 1947, in the small town of Gallipolis, Ohio. She is joined in rest by her late husband and best friend John Wesley Dray Jr, father Foster Clinton Casto, stepfather Noah Delbert Powell, her mother Jane Lee Casto Powell, brother Donnie Ray Casto, nephew Todd Ray Casto, grandson Tommy Lee Johnson and great granddaughter Alexis Johnson.
Judy will be lovingly remembered by her children, Son Johnnie Dray and girlfriend Rene Dennis, son Dale Dray, daughter Teresa and husband Jason Karr and daughter Wendy Dray of Deer Park, Texas, Siblings: brother Mike and wife Jerri Powell of Deer Park, Texas, sister Vicki and husband Mike Graham and brother Phillip and wife Carol of Gallipolis, Ohio. As well as many nieces and nephews.
At the age of 5 she met and eventually fell in love with the boy who would ultimately become her husband and the father of her children. Judy and John shared a bond and friendship that transcended divorce and time.
Among Judy's most significant accomplishments were her 4 children, 16 grandchildren, and 40 great grandchildren. With a hefty family tree and a family consisting of both blood ties and bonds formed from the heart, Judy's reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many. Her legacy will continue to live on and inspire strength, resilience, love, and generosity in those whose lives she touched.
Her body is being cremated, and a celebration of life will be held in her honor at the Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E San Augustine in Deer Park TX 77536 on Feb 9th at 2 PM. A reception will follow at 711 E Pasadena Blvd, Deer Park, Texas 77536.
Her remains will be taken home to Gallipolis, Ohio and spread at the pond with our Father in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. A small service will be scheduled at Bulaville Church at later time.
She will be sadly missed but never forgotten.
