Karen A Stephenson

Karen A. Stephenson was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 26th, 1961, and passed away on April 13th, 2026, unexpectedly. She is survived by her 2 daughters, Destiny Mullins and Miranda Ortiz, as well as her grandson, Dexter Brooks.

She and her 3 brothers were born to parents Richard Stephenson and Elizabeth Thrope Stephenson. She was later adopted into a family by the surname Klair, and after a rough childhood, she eventually met Al Makowski and moved South to Texas.

After many years of learning and growing, she met both loving fathers of her children - Jose Ortiz (deceased) and Davis Mullins. Later in life, Karen married Lowell "Mick" E Thompson (deceased), who also provided her with 3 stepchildren - Michelle, Keli, and Michael.

Karen was a bright, vibrant soul who sought happiness for those she loved and considered motherhood her greatest accomplishment in life. She was dearly loved, cherished, and her presence is now thoroughly missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace, Karen with a "K".
