Kenneth Ashton Obituary
Kenneth Dale Ashton of Pasadena, Texas passed on July 25,2023 with his family by his side.
Kenny was born in Athens, Texas on October 16,1959 to Oral & Linda Ashton. He was the
only boy of three children born to Oral & Linda. The family moved to Eustace, Texas but
ultimately settled in Pasadena, Texas.
He was married to Kathy Perez and together they recently celebrated 20 years of
marriage
Kenny’s work life centered on doing anything that involved using heavy equipment and
utilizing his outstanding mechanical skills, including pipe fitting, construction, welding
and running hot shots. He was an outdoorsman and had a passion for horses, donkeys
and mules, and was an exceptional mule whisperer. He was also an avid fisherman
and deer hunter and was not one to miss opening day of deer season in North West
Nacogdoches County, his favorite hunting ground. His refuge and love was the country
home he and Kathy established in Lilbert, Texas where he had no greater joy than to be on
his tractor mowing, gardening, pushing dirt or debris or whatever else needed his
attention. He thrived at building friendship networks, going treasure hunting and
wheeling and dealing.
Kenny is proceeded in death by his parents, Oral & Linda Ashton and his Brother in
Law, Kenneth Blank.
He is survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Amber Goree and husband Joe, daughter
Brandi Johnson and husband Chad, stepchildren Elizabeth Perez and Ricky Perez,
grandson Tyler Martin and wife Mackenzie, granddaughters Madison Goree, Abby
Goree, Ashlyn Gray, Kathleen Johnson, Gracie Johnson and Great Granddaughter
Conlee Mae Martin. His sister Debbie Blank, sister Kelly Ochoa and husband David,
along with numerous nieces and nephews. And of course, his Soul Dog, BabyGirl.
