Fort Stockton, Texas; Nina Marie Bagent, 30, of Camden, Arkansas and his

He is also survived by his siblings Sherry Lucille Payne (husband, Larry) from

Noblesville, Indiana; Raymond Lee Beam (wife, Marcia) from Dallas, Texas and

his beloved Uncle Karl Beam of Koontz, Texas Karl’s daughter, Judy Morrison, as

well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and cousins.

He will be remembered by his many friends including his loyal, long-time friend,

James Frederick.

He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Betty Beam of Noblesville, Indiana,

his son, John Richard Beam, of Houston, Texas and several aunts, uncles and

cousins.

Born in Indianapolis on October 27, 1950, he joined the Army at the age of

seventeen (17) and did a tour of duty in Vietnam. Staff Sergeant Beam finished

high school and began college while serving in Transportation & Supply in

Frankfurt, Germany.

Many words can be used to describe Ken. Son, Father, Brother, Grandfather,

Patriot, Sports Fan, Singer, Boxer, Wrestler, accomplished baseball player, music

lover, Fighter, cancer survivor and relentless jokester are just a few. First and

foremost, he loved his family. He was very proud of his German heritage and liked

to cook German food and share with his friends and family. Under a sometimes-

gruff exterior was a man with a soft heart and a loving spirit. He sang to his family

and friends. Most of his family have lots of voicemail recordings on their phones.

He loved his football and baseball teams – The Texans and The Astros were his

favorites! Watching his grandchildren’s extracurricular activities was also

something he absolutely loved to do. He will definitely be missed by all.

A Celebration of Ken’s life will be held at Deer Park Funeral Home on Wednesday,

November 29, 2023, at 6:30 P.M. James Frederick will be Officiating and singing

“In the Garden.”
