Kenneth Hanson Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Hanson passed away peacefully on May 24, 2022, to his eternal home at the age of 73.

Ken was born on July 14, 1948, in Dallas to Eddy and Chrystelle Hanson, both deceased. He was married for fifty-two years to Donna Harrison Hanson. Ken will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a man who whole-heartedly served his Lord, family and friends.

Ken was a member of Deer Park First Baptist Church for many years.  He served as a deacon and worked behind the scenes using his spiritual gift of service in many ways.  He was a proud member of the Servant Hearts Men’s Class of DPFBC.  In his younger years, he was involved with youth soccer and baseball teams with his sons. He was fiercely dedicated to family and friends.

Those he left behind will cherish wonderful memories including his bride, Donna Hanson; his two sons, Daryl Hanson (& Brenda) and Erik Hanson (& Stacy); six grandchildren include Meredith, Cole, Caroline, Catherine, Connor, and Cayley. Survivors also include sisters and brothers-in-law, Cheryl (& Bubba) Coleman and Brenda (& Don) Hill; sister-in-law Sue Hanson; brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-law David & Arlene Harrison, Ernie & Neva Howard and many other loved ones.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Don Hanson.

Family and friends will celebrate the life of Ken on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Deer Park First Baptist Church. Family visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Celebration Service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Renovation Fund at Deer Park First Baptist Church, 438 E. 8th St., Deer Park, TX  77536.
