LaTonga Patrice Patterson, also known as "Tonya," passed away peacefully on Monday night, January 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.
She was born on August 30, 1979, to Dorothy Nell Patterson and Herbert Ray Lovin. Her mother and stepfather, Willie T. Patterson, raised her in Houston, Texas. Tonya accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and attended The House of Peace Ministries in Houston, TX. In her later years, she joined Greater Harvest Church in Fresno, TX Tonya leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. Her children and grandchildren were her heartbeats. She was known as the "life" of the party and made a significant impact on everyone she encountered. Tonya was beautiful inside and out, she loved to dress to impress but also embraced her adventurous side, going fishing and hunting with friends.
Tonya worked as a certified nurse assistant at Houston Methodist Hospital (Medical Center) for many years, where she was loved by both her coworkers and patients. Helping others was truly her passion. Her presence was a cherished gift, and her absence is profoundly felt by her family and fnends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Patterson; her father, Herbert Ray Lovin; and her sisters, Jacquline Patterson, Sheila Patterson, and Niki Patterson. She is survived by her children: Keion Patterson, Ronald Patterson, and Ronnesha Patterson; her grandchildren: Alaric Patterson, Nylah Patterson, Zyaire Patterson and Yknownna: and four siblings: Karen Patterson, Brenda Patterson, Willie Patterson, and Tracie Turner, along with a host of nieces. nephews, cousins, family, and friends
Tonya will be most remembered for her beautiful smile, fun-loving nature, and kind-hearted sweet spirit that she shared with everyone. As she rests, may her wonderful memories bless all who knew her
