Laura Katherine Koch, lovingly known as “Kathy,” was born on March 9, 1954, in Pasadena, Texas, and went to be with our Lord and Savior on January 9, 2026.
Kathy grew up in Deer Park, where she graduated from Deer Park High School in 1972. She raised her family in the community she loved and dedicated many years of service to the City of Deer Park until her retirement. She was a friend to many, a devoted mother, sister and aunt, but her greatest joy in life came from being a grandmother.
Kathy was renowned for her sweet and goofy nature, always bringing smiles and laughter to those around her. Her compassionate heart knew no bounds, as she consistently put the needs and well-being of others before her own. Her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love left an indelible mark on all who were blessed to know her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Nicole and Christina, her sister Carolyn, and her cherished grandchildren, Wade and Olivia, who were the light of her life and recipients of her unconditional love.
In her passing, Laura Katherine Koch leaves behind a legacy of faith, kindness, and love that will be forever treasured. May she rest in eternal peace, rejoicing in God’s presence, and may her gentle spirit continue to inspire all who knew her.
