Lawrence Wall Obituary

Lawrence James Wall, born on December 25, 1955, in Norwood, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2025, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his wife, son, and daughter. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend whose presence brought light and warmth to all who knew him.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife, Juliet Wall, who stood by his side through every season of life. He is the proud father of Carolyn Gaidos (married to Patrick Gaidos) and Stephen Wall, both of whom carry forward his love, strength, and wisdom.

He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick and Marion Wall, and his brother, Alan Wall. He is fondly remembered by his sisters, Ginny Innella (married to Al Innella) and Ellen Thibodeau (widow of Paul Thibodeau), as well as by his brothers-in-law, Eric Doud (married to Lynne Doud) and Brian Doud.

Lawrence earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from C.W. Post College in 1978, which led to a fulfilling career as a Histology Technologist from 1979 through 2001. He later became the Educational Coordinator for Histology Technicians at Houston Community College’s Coleman Campus, a role he held until 2013. Lawrence’s students often kept in touch with him, crediting his mentorship as a significant influence on their career paths.

In 1990, Lawrence earned a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman's University. From March 1999 through 2015, he worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor, providing individual, marital, and family therapy. He ensured his clients had the opportunity to explore spiritual issues as part of their treatment, reflecting his Christian faith.

Lawrence met Juliet in the spring of 1984 at a Church in the City Young Single’s Picnic. The couple married on May 11, 1985, in the University of Houston Chapel, beginning a lifetime of love and partnership.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his goofy and caring nature, and his driven, goal-oriented personality. Lawrence’s kindness, humor, and unwavering dedication to his family and community left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
