Linda Corey Sideris

It is with great sadness and sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Corey Sideris of Houston, Texas at the age of 73. 

Linda is survived by her husband Alexandros Sideris, her three sons Aleco, Christopher and Michael, and her grandchildren Kennedy and Benjamin.  Linda is also survived by her loving brothers, Patrick Corey, Michael Corey, and sister Joyce Jacobs, and their loving families. Linda will be missed and loved by many family members in Greece, as well as America.

Born to Verdean Redden and Michael Corey in Sioux City, Iowa on August 26th, 1951. Linda grew up with her family and had a memorable childhood. After graduating from the University of South Dakota and attending nursing school, Linda moved to Houston as a registered nurse.  Marrying her husband Alex, Linda built a family and career in Texas. A devoted mother, wife, and nurse, Linda always had others wellbeing first at heart.  She enjoyed cooking, reading, traveling, playing games, and having coffee with friends.  Linda's favorite thing was relaxing with family and friends on long beach days, entertaining and hosting parties at her home in Greece. She also adored the Houston Astros and was sure to never miss one of their games. 

Linda was passionate about causes and volunteered, helping students from the American Farm School in Greece, visit America.  She also volunteered her time as a board member of both the Macedonian Association of Greater Houston and the Hellenic Cultural Center of the Southwest.  She will forever be loved and missed by everyone she met and touched.

A funeral service will be held at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 3511 Yoakum Blvd. Houston, Texas on Thursday, July 10th 2025.  A gathering with family and friends will begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Greek Orthodox service at 10:00 a.m. 

Linda’s final resting place will be at the St. Paraskevi Greek Orthodox Monastery in Washington, Texas.  The family requests in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Monastery of St. Paraskevi, 6855 Little York Ln, Washington, Texas 77880.
