Marcia Ann Adams

Marcia Ann Adams, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on May 14, 1933, in Tyler, Texas, she was a cherished daughter of William Dayton and Pauline Dupree.

Marcia was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 69 years, William “Bill” Adams; her parents; and her beloved daughter, Sherry Lynn Anderson, who was the joy of her life.

She is survived by her son-in-law, Gerald Anderson; grandsons Brian Anderson and his wife Sharon, and Scott Anderson and his wife Kari; great-grandchildren Trevor, Alyssa (Triston), Bryson, Tristan, and Brooklyn; her sister, Jean Dupree Gore; and Jean’s children, Britt, Shayney and Kaylan. Marcia will be dearly missed by the family and friends she leaves behind to cherish her memory.

A woman of deep faith, Marcia was a long-time member of Deer Park United Methodist Church and First United Methodist Church of Trinity. She found joy in teaching Sunday school during her early years. Her spiritual strength and gentle guidance touched many lives.

Bill was the love of Marcia’s life, and together they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and hospitality. They lived in Deer Park for many years before retiring to Trinity. They especially loved hosting family gatherings for Fourth of July and Easter, occasions filled with good food, shared stories, and cherished traditions.

Marcia had a gift for making others feel at home. She loved cooking and sewing, and she welcomed her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews with open arms any chance she could. Her home was a place of comfort, laughter, and togetherness, especially during family visits and holiday gatherings.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to Ascend Hospice for their compassionate care during Marcia’s final months.

Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th at 5:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. at Deer Park Funeral Home, 336 E San Augustine St, Deer Park, TX 77536.
