Margie Nell Lambert was born on February 27, 1932, deep in the East Texas Piney Woods near the small community of Latch. She was one of four surviving children to her parents, Ellie Corine (Martin) and Espie Omer (Dink) Lambert. She was a country girl through and through and the skills she learned growing up on a farm served her well throughout her life.
She could plow a straight line, pick cotton, and defend herself in tussles with her older brother. She would tell you she was not the strongest student, but she excelled in Home Economics classes which forecasted the creative future life she would lead. After graduating from high school, she moved to Fort Worth where she joined her parents who had moved there earlier. In Fort Worth she attended business school and found a job as an order chaser at Armour and Company in the Fort Worth Stockyards.
Following a beautiful love story that only the Lord could have written due to its complexities of overlapping characters, she married Emmett Mills Dickinson. They had three daughters. She was a loving mother and wife who used her love of gardening, flower arranging, excellent cooking skills that were both adventurous and delicious, and her love of everything creative to make a home for her family.
Margie was beloved by her family and many friends. She was devoted to serving her Lord and could always be found volunteering at church. She passed away on May 29, 2026. She is greatly missed.
Margie is survived by her daughters Lisa Karen Watson, Laura Beth Dickinson, and Susan Kay DeChellis; son-in-law Marc DeChellis; grandchildren Michael DeChellis and family - wife Michal, children: Isaac, Alden, and Griffin; Matt DeChellis and family - wife Annamaria, children: Giorgio and Gemma; Alyssa Watson, and Danielle DeChellis; Keisha Marshall and daughter Jaylee Marshall. Great grandchildren Hunter Bozant and family - wife Madison, son Percy; Tyler Bozant and family - wife Samantha, children Anna and Autumn, David Marshall and family -Brianna and son Asher.
