Mark Anthony Smith

Mark Anthony Smith, 62, of Pasadena, Texas went to be with the Lord on September 28, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Mark was born December 9, 1961, in Houston, Texas. The son of Joseph Lewis Smith and Juanita Mae Tate.

Mark graduated from Hargrave High School in Huffman, Texas in 1980. He went on to have a successful career as a truck driver.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years Esmeralda Smith of Pasadena, TX, daughters Danielle Umali (Dennis), Danette Martinez (Chris), Christina Murphy (Ryan), sons Matthew Smith, and Jack Awadawwad (Sabine).

Grandchildren Noah Ahmed Awadawwad, Lilliana Grace Umali, Aiden Daniel Umali, Benjamin Anthony Martinez, Naya Awadawwad, Yones Awadawwad, Mousa Awadawwad, Eric John Carlson III, Jackson Ryan Murphy, and Jamieson Robert Murphy.

Brothers William Smith (Gina), Jeffrey Burkham (Amy), and Jeffrey Jackson.

Sisters Mindy Jackson and Tracy Jackson.

Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Mark was a driver for CVS, he was dedicated and passionate about his profession. He won multiple awards throughout his career and was Driver of the Year multiple times during his time with McLane and CVS.

Mark was an animal lover and leaves behind his constant companions Marley, Sam, Pepper, Briggs and Callie.

He loved his family and his family loved him. He was proud of his children and grandchildren. He was a loyal friend. He demonstrated strength and courage throughout this journey.

Mark enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed grilling, watching the Astros, and was always ready to help no matter what the need. He touched and was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 6pm-8pm at Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine St., Deer Park, Texas 77536. Going home service will be held Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 1pm at Deer Park Funeral Directors.
