Melissa Joy Arbour (Joy) age 68 passed away early in the morning of May 6, 2025 at home in Pasadena, Texas after a fight with lung cancer.
Joy was born in Houston, Texas on May 17, 1956 to father Melvin Thomas Arbour Sr and mother Martha Carolyn Arbour, who both precede her in death.
She is survived by brother Hunter Tadford Arbour, son Richard (Rick) Lynn Price Jr, and granddaughter Maisen Lynn Price. She is also preceded in death by sisters Elizabeth Arbour and Carolyn Anne (Arbour) Sheffield, brothers Melvin Thomas Arbour Jr, and Douglas Lee Arbour.
First and foremost, Joy was a dedicated Christian who served Jesus from a very young age. Joy touched many lives in the community professionally as she worked in and around healthcare related fields throughout life. Personally, and of much dedication were the lives she influenced during her work with Alcoholics Anonymous in Pasadena and the surrounding area. She attended Pasadena High School. Joy was truly a good person and the best Nana ever, and anyone who met her would agree.
Joy was cremated on May 9, 2025. No public ceremony is planned. Proverbs 3:6, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.
