Motilall "Charlie" Persaud, age 86, of Deer Park, Texas, peacefully passed away on July 20, 2026.
Charlie was born on May 13, 1940, in Anna Regina, Essequibo, Guyana. Through hard work, determination, and a deep love for his family, he built a life defined by integrity, perseverance, and quiet strength.
Charlie shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Mangri "Juliet" Persaud. Together they built a loving home and raised three children, creating a family that became the center of his life.
He dedicated 30 years of service to Celanese, where he worked in Facilities Support within the chemical plant industry. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family.
Above all else, Charlie treasured his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, an adoring grandfather, and a delighted great-grandfather. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his children and grandsons, sharing stories, celebrating milestones, and simply being together. His love for his family was evident in everything he did.
Charlie also had a special affection for animals, especially his beloved cat, Jackson, who brought him companionship and comfort. In his free time, he enjoyed studying the stock market and trading stocks, always eager to learn and follow the latest market trends. He appreciated thoughtful conversations and enjoyed sharing what he had learned with those around him.
Those who knew Charlie will remember his gentle spirit, unwavering dedication to his family, and the quiet example he set through a life of hard work, humility, and love. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his children and the countless memories they will forever cherish.
Charlie was preceded in death by his wife Juliet Persaud, mother and his father, Ganga Ramphia; and his brothers, Robin, Prema, and Anlirag.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Indy Persaud-Santo and her husband, Tony; his son, Vishnu Persaud and his wife, Kelly, and son Krishna Persaud; his grandsons, Justin Persaud, Jonathan Persaud and his wife Alexandra Persaud, and Anthony Santo, and his wife Gabrielle Santo; his great-grandson, Maverick Persaud; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him greatly.
