Peggy "Pay" Davis Obituary

Peggy “Pay” Davis, 65, peacefully passed away Thursday, March 27 in Houston, Texas surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Born April 17, 1959, to Robert and Eula Velazquez in Houston, Peggy’s vibrant spirit touched countless lives throughout her remarkable journey. She graduated from Deer Park High School, playing four years of tennis.  Peggy found her true love in her high school sweetheart, Bill.  They married in 1978.  They have two children and raised their family in Pasadena, Texas. Peggy followed in her father’s footsteps and began a career in the spring business working at Draco Spring Mfg. for 47 years. Peggy loved sports, especially the Houston Astros.

Above all, Peggy treasured her family.  Her role as “Nana” brought her immeasurable joy, and she poured her heart into creating precious memories with her grandchildren.  Her green thumb flourished in her beautiful flower beds, a passion she delighted in sharing with Bill.  Known for her warm hospitality, Peggy transformed every gathering into a celebration, opening her home to family for countless special occasions.

In 2013, when Bill and his brothers purchased a lakehouse in Livingston, it became Peggy and Bill’s cherished weekend retreat - a testament to their love for family togetherness and creating lasting memories by the water.

Peggy is survived by her devoted husband, Bill; her son Robbie Davis and his wife Kelcey; her daughter Krissie Aguilar and her husband Joel; her beloved grandchildren Mallory and Ashlyn Davis; Emi and Alex Aguilar; her sisters Joni Kremer and Laurie Starnes; her brothers-in-law Scott Davis (wife Lisa), Steve Davis (wife Tracie), and Andrew Davis (husband Doyle); her nephews Michael Starnes (wife Casey), Greyson Kremer (wife Maddie), and Jared Davis (wife Alex); and her nieces Brenna Kremer,  Brittany Saultz (husband Zack), Bailey Davis, and Kelsey Davis.

She was preceded in death by her mother Eula Velazquez, her father Robert “Bob” Velazquez; Brother-in-Law- Robert Kremer.

Peggy’s legacy of love, friendship, and devotion will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.  Her gift for making everyone feel special and her boundless capacity for love leave a lasting mark on our hearts.
