Ralph Richard Vargas Sr

Ralph Richard Vargas Sr., age 84, of Pasadena, Texas passed away peacefully on June 27, 2024, surrounded by family. He was born on April 26,1940 in Galveston, Texas. Ralph leaves behind his wife Vicenta Vargas of 51 years. He is survived by his children: daughter Brenda Dyer and husband Heath; son Ralph R. Vargas Jr. and wife Masha; daughter Jody Cazares and husband Edgar; daughter Anita Clark and husband Lee.

Ralph also leaves behind 10 grandchildren: Larry “L.J.”, Devin, Marcus, Michael, Noah, Alex, Richard, Edgar Jr, Daniel, Isabella and several great-grandchildren.

Ralph worked hard his whole life as a Drywall Finisher for over 40 years. He helped complete many homes and businesses around the Houston area as well as around the country making several trips to Tennessee and San Antonio to complete homes there as well.  During his time off he loved sitting back watching his love for baseball the Houston Astros, scratching lotto tickets and playing the lottery and sitting around laughing and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also spent many holiday seasons helping build hundreds of bicycles over the years that were to be donated to families in need. Ralph was a very giving man that was always willing to give as much as he could if he had it.

Family would like to invite family and friends for visitation on Tuesday July 2,2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm with Rosary at 6:00pm at Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine St., Deer Park, Texas, 77536.

Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday July 3, 2024 at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, 2921 Center St., Deer Park, Texas, 77536 at 2:00pm.

Interment LaPorte Cemetery, LaPorte Texas
