Richard Milton Reynolds Sr., a hard-working husband, father, grandfather, and great-
grandfather, passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 90, surrounded by his family.
Born in Hammond, Indiana, on August 7, 1933, Richard was the son of Henry and Madalene
Reynolds. He grew up in a household where hard work and discipline were valued above all
else.
Richard served his country with honor and distinction as a member of the United States Marine
Corps from December 1949 to February 1952, instilling in him a sense of duty and commitment
that would shape his life.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife of 46 years, Jacinta Valle Reynolds, and his eight
children: Dianne Kutz and husband Paul Logue, Debbie Wyatt, Robin Campeau and her
husband Mike, Ricki Reynolds, Michelle Pemberton and her husband Anthony, Lisa Mathews
and her husband Kevin, Madalyn Gibb and her husband Jared, and his son, Richard Reynolds
and his wife Starr.
Affectionately known by his family as “Daddy Pooh”, his greatest achievement in life is his
children and through them his 20 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-
grandchild, each of whom he cared for deeply.
A man of few words, “Mr. Rick” as he was called by his customers, was known for his no-
nonsense approach to conversations and life in general. He was always on the go, with a strong
work ethic that he passed down to his children. As a jack of all trades, his skill as an electrician
and overall handyman made him the first call made when help was needed. For over 35 years,
Richard demonstrated he was skilled with his hands and took pride in his craftsmanship.
Despite his no-frills demeanor, Richard had a soft spot for dancing. He may not have been one
for small talk, but put on some music and clear a space for a dance floor, and Richard would be
the first to lead the way. It was in these moments that his true spirit shone through, bringing joy
to those around him.
A private memorial service will be held for Richard on March 2, 2024 from 9-11, where family
and close friends will gather to honor his memory and pay their respects.
Richard Milton Reynolds Sr., will be deeply missed but never forgotten. May he rest in eternal peace.
