Schorlette (Charlotte) Marie Craig, 69, passed away peacefully on the morning of
Friday, April 10th, 2026 at her home in Montgomery, Texas. She was born in Houston
on October 30th, 1956, to her parents, Myrteel & John Daniels.
Growing up in North Houston, Charlotte attended and graduated from Milby High
School. She would later marry her first husband, Jack Womack, having her two
children with him, Amanda and Jackie.
Later, she would marry her second husband, Mark Amey, raising Amanda & Jackie in
Pasadena, TX. Charlotte had several passions in life including cars, at one time owning
a beautiful 1967 Chevy Chevelle that she loved very much. She also loved to travel with
Mark, and later with her third husband & soulmate, Brian, whom she married on May
24th, 1996. Starting a new life in their quiet home in Montgomery just outside of Lake
Conroe, they worked for several years to build and expand their home into a beautiful
place filled with love and with family.
Charlotte and Brian took several trips with their RV to Canyon Lake, TX - a favorite
camping spot, and to the Texas panhandle. She worked in several fields over the years
before finally settling into home life with Brian. An avid gardener & crafter, she kept
several home improvement projects at a time, and had a true creative gift for making
wonderful one-of-a-kind home decorations and centerpieces. She especially liked
creating crafts for Christmas.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her parents, Myrteel (née Harding) and her third
husband, Elmer Moon, her brother Charles Daniels, Don Daniels, and Robert Eugene
Powell.
She is survived by her husband, Brian Craig, daughter Amanda & husband Steve
Vardeman; son Jackie & wife Donna Womack; step-son Anthony & wife Marjorie Craig;
step-son Allen & wife Lauren Craig; grandsons Trevor and Trace Womack;
granddaughter Chelsea & husband David Eastman; granddaughters Emerson, Hadley,
Kenna, and Lainey Craig; and great-granddaughter Brylin Kadlecek.
