Sharon Yarbrough Obituary

Sharon Lea Yarbrough, age 68, of Deer Park, Texas, passed into eternal rest on February 8, 2024.  She is survived by her husband, Weldon Yarbrough Jr., daughter Jennifer Yarbrough, son Wesley Yarbrough and his wife Melinda, and grandchildren Camryn Yarbrough, Hunter Yarbrough and his wife Jacqueline, and Kiersten Yarbrough.  Also surviving her are sisters, Terry Cogan, Tiffany Catlin, Melissa Scarcella, and twin sister Karen Maynard.  Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Helen Williams and Lawrence Scarcella, and brother Larry Scarcella.

Sharon loved the simple things of life.  She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds and tending her hanging plants and was always excited by the beauty.  A collector of glass bells and ceramic dolls dressed in silk and lace, both of which brought her much joy.  Dogs, to her, were not just pets, but companions to be cherished.  Her favorite through the years, the Shih Tzu Panda, died several years ago and her ashes will be laid to rest with Sharon.

Family was very important to her, and she was always up for a family gathering.  Whether Weldon was grilling or boiling batches of crawfish, she was happy to make the side dishes and welcome family and friends.  Her smile was sweet and her laughter soft; both of which were plentiful and easily shared.

Services will be held Thursday, February 15,2004 in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine in Deer Park.  The viewing is at 11:00 A.M. followed by services beginning at 12:00 P.M.  Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Baston, Texas.

The family asked in lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Alzheimer Foundation or the Diabetes Association.
