Steven Frank Andreno

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Steven Frank Andreno, who departed this life on August 2, 2026, at the age of 75 visited by family and friends.

Steve was born on February 11, 1951, in Queens, New York, to Dominick and Cecilia Andreno. He was raised in Inwood, New York, where he developed the strong values of family, service, and community that would guide him throughout his life.

Steve shared 54 wonderful years of marriage with the love of his life, Sharon Andreno. Together they built a life centered on love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another. Their home was one of warmth, hospitality, and family, creating countless cherished memories over the years.

Steve dedicated much of his life to serving others. He retired from the City of Pasadena, Texas, after 33 years of faithful service. He also proudly served with the Pasadena Volunteer Fire Department for over 20 years, holding numerous leadership positions throughout his distinguished career. His commitment to his community extended beyond public service as a dedicated volunteer and leader of the Pasadena Strawberry Festival for more than 30 years, including serving two years as its President. Steve also remained connected to his New York roots as a former member of the Lawrence-Cedarhurst Fire Department.

While Steve was proud of his many accomplishments, his greatest joy came from the people he loved. He treasured every opportunity to spend time with Sharon, family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. He never passed up one of Sharon's home-cooked meals and found happiness in the simple moments shared around the table. Steve also enjoyed trying his luck at the casino, where he loved the excitement as much as the fellowship. A talented woodworker with a creative mind, he had a remarkable gift for designing and building projects with skill, patience, and pride. Whether serving his community, creating something with his hands, or enjoying the company of those he loved, Steve lived a life defined by kindness, generosity, and quiet strength.

Above all else, Steve was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be remembered for his generous heart, steadfast character, sense of humor, and willingness to help anyone in need. His life was a testament to service, dedication, and unconditional love for his family.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Sharon Andreno; his son, Jason Andreno, and daughter-in-law, Nicole Andreno; and his cherished grandson, Matthew Rogers-Andreno. He is also survived by his brothers, Raymond Andreno and his wife, Carolyn; Joseph Andreno; and Dominick Andreno and his wife, Vera. He leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dominick and Cecilia Andreno; his children, Meredith Andreno and Dominick Andreno; his beloved grandson, Aidan Charles Andreno; and his brother-in-law, Charles "Monty" Seaman.

Steve's legacy of service, compassion, craftsmanship, and unwavering love for his family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to inspire those whose lives he touched. His was a life well lived, a life of service, and a life filled with love.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Steve’s life; there will be a Viewing Friday August 14, 2026 6:00 PM and his Funeral Service will be Saturday August 15, 2026 11:00 am at Deer Park Funeral Directors followed by his interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Steve's honor to The 100 Club of Houston, an organization that supports the families of first responders and law enforcement officers.
