Tannar Lee Thomas

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Tannar Lee Thomas, who left this world on February 1, 2025, at the age of 26. Tannar was a beloved father, son, brother, uncle, friend, and fishing buddy. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A Life Full of Love and Joy

Born on August 10, 1998, in Houston, Texas, Tannar lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his loving heart, boundless energy, sense of humor, and outgoing nature, as well as for the impact he made on those around him.

Tannar had a smile that could not only light up a room but also warm the hearts of everyone in it. He spoke openly about his faith and trust in God. He cherished every moment spent fishing, a passion that brought him endless joy. He also dedicated time to honing his pool-playing skills, always welcoming the opportunity to learn from others.

 A Bright Future

Tannar had recently embarked on a new career with Odfjell Terminals, where he found excitement and optimism for the future. He loved his coworkers and looked forward to building a career with them.

Family and Loved Ones

Tannar is survived by his children, Jasmine, Tatum, and Maeilani; his mother and stepfather, Oryana Golden and Jason Deerdoff; his father, David Thomas; his brothers, Jacob Golden, Taylor Thomas, and Jason and Vance Deerdoff; his sisters, Jessica Golden and Alanna Parker; his grandmothers, Rita Golden and Betty Thomas; as well as all his cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Denis Golden; his uncles, James, Andrew, and Patrick Golden; and his cousin, Jeremy Golden.

A Celebration of Life

A service to honor Tannar’s life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Deer Park Funeral Directors, located at 336 E. San Augustine Blvd., Deer Park, Texas 77536. A public viewing will begin at 11:00 AM, followed by a service at 1:00 PM.

We welcome all who were touched by Tannar's joy, love, and laughter to join us in remembering, honoring, and celebrating his life.

May his soul rest in peace, fishing with Jesus and catching all the big ones. May we find comfort in the cherished memories we shared.
