We regretfully announce the passing of Terry Lee Williams, born on April 16, 1953, who left us on January 2, 2025. Throughout his life, Terry embodied strength, integrity, and unwavering honesty, not only to his family but to all who were fortunate enough to know him. His legacy stands as a powerful testament to a man who believed wholeheartedly in the value of hard work and perseverance. Though his departure leaves a profound void, his memory will be cherished forever, inspiring all who knew him.
Terry was predeceased by his beloved wife, Cheri Dawn Williams, whom he married in 1983. Together, they shared a life filled with love, joy, and laughter. He was also preceded in death by his devoted mother, Rose Maxine Williams, his steadfast father, James J Williams, and his supportive brother, Larry L Williams. Terry's memory will live on in the hearts of his loving children—Mark, Mindy, Aaron, and Amber—who remember him as a pillar of strength, wisdom, and guidance. He is also survived by his sister Lori and his ten cherished grandchildren: Hunter, Kaylee, Andrew, Zoe, Penelope, Calista, Alora, Nicholas, Lucius, and Isabelle, who will carry forward his legacy of love and strength.
In 2018, after a distinguished career, Terry retired from Lyondell, having earned the respect and admiration of all who worked alongside him. His professional achievements were a reflection of his dedication, discipline, and tireless work ethic. Yet his life was far more than just his career. Terry was a man of diverse passions: a lover of BBQ, Western novels, and the music of ZZ Top. A devoted sports fan, he could often be found cheering on the Astros and Cowboys, always with a fervor that matched his deep love for life. He enjoyed the simple pleasures of hunting, fishing on Lake Livingston, and watching his grandchildren play sports. Saturdays were reserved for McDonald’s breakfast at Sylvan Beach, a ritual he rarely missed and one that embodied his love for life’s small yet meaningful moments.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Deer Park Funeral Directors on January 25, 2025, at 1:00 PM. We invite all who loved him to join us in honoring his remarkable life and legacy.
Terry’s legacy will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Though his presence will be deeply missed, his spirit endures, reminding us to face life with strength, honesty, and resilience. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his cherished wife, Cheri.
