In Loving Memory of Tracey Donice Peters
August 10, 1970 – May 21, 2025
Tracey Donice Peters, born on August 10, 1970, in Conroe, Texas, entered into eternal rest on May 21, 2025. Tracey was the beloved daughter of the late Donnie Gene Rainer and Helen Janiece Russell. A devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother (Memaw), she was a guiding light and a source of strength to all who knew her.
We give thanks to God for blessing us with this angel who walked among us. Tracey's life was a testament to resilience, faith, and unconditional love. Her legacy—one that can only be described as miraculous—reflects a strength and grace that touched the hearts of many.
Tracey was preceded in death by her parents, Donnie Gene Rainer and Helen Janiece Russell; her aunt, June Smith; her uncle, Bo Harvey; her cousin, Angie Harvey; her father-in-law, Glen Ragland; her paternal grandparents, Henry David Rainer and Lilly Lee Ray Rainer; and her maternal grandparents, Fred Nathaniel Russell and Mary Alice Coleman Russell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Melvin Peters, who she often reminded everyone was her rock. Together, they built a life full of love, faith, and laughter. She is also survived by her six children: Johnathan Rainer, Talitha Hooks, Mari Lewandowski, Matthew Peters, Patricia Peters, and Catherine Peters. Her love extended deeply to her children-in-law: Bradley Lewandowski, Jeremy Hooks, Kelsey Rainer, and Nick Vassiliou.
Tracey was the proud and doting Memaw to fifteen beloved grandchildren: Jason, Dylan, Jerren, Kattaleiya, Guinevere, William, Dakota, Kennedy, Braylee, Eleana, Parker, Karson, Devina, Austin, and Henrik.
She is also survived by her siblings: Todd and Lisa Rainer, Kenneth and Sally Rainer, Ahna Rainer, and Holly Rainer. Her large and loving extended family includes countless cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends whose lives she enriched with her wisdom, kindness, and boundless compassion.
Tracey’s presence was a blessing. Her legacy will live on through the love she gave, the faith she lived by, and the family she held so dear.
On Tuesday August 1, 2025 at the Sylvan Beach Park at 1:00 PM there will be a Celebration of Life for Tracey. In honor of Tracey, the family is requesting for anyone attending to not be dressed in black clothing.
