Willie Frank Brown Obituary

Willie Frank Brown, age 70 of Pasadena, Texas went to be with his Heavenly Father on January 28, 2025.

Willies life began on February 27, 1954 in Galena Park, Tx.  He was one of 13 children.  Brown is joined in rest by his paternal grandparents Willie and Addie Brown, maternal grandparents Jody Frank and Anna Whidden, mother Betty Whidden Brown, father Millard Brown, brother Kenneth, sister Linda, brother Bubba, brother Charles, brother Bill, and great granddaughter Grace.

Willie will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life and wife of 43 years, Linda Brown.  His daughter Angel and husband Shawn Williams, son Chad and favorite daughter in law Tabitha Gatlin, son Johnnie and wife Valerie Brown, son Anthony Brown, son Michael and wife Amanda Brown.  He loved and was very close with his siblings:  Brother David (Peanut) and wife Polly Brown, sister Mildred Payne,  sister Addy, sister Rachel, sister Rita, sister Joyce Ann, brother Michael, along with many nieces and nephews whom he adored.  His greatest blessing was his family.  He was the best “Papaw” to his ten grandchildren and they all loved him dearly.  He affectionately nicknamed them:  Justin (Juju), Savannah (China Girl), Ashley (Gizzy), Bryce (Little Man), Reese (Puddin Pop), Tony, Kiara, Zayne, Pepper (Sweet Pea), Phoebe (Little Bit), and Banner (Bebe).  Great grandchildren:  Noelle, Harper and Stella (on the way).

Willie met Linda in 1980 and they were married on June 22, 1983.  Together they embarked on a lifetime of love and serving their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, together.  Willie and Linda joined Elim Church in 1983.  He was a beloved deacon in his church.  He was an ordained minister and married his son Johnnie.  He and Linda had a marriage ministry for many years. Willie was always so happy when the church would ask him to cook anything. He was part of the security team at Elim, which he loved.  Willie wore an I Love Jesus hat every day.  He loved serving the Lord and sharing his love of the lord with others.

Willie enjoyed watching old western shows and anything with John Wayne in it.  He was always cooking or barbequing something.  He enjoyed family barbeques, crawfish cookouts, and visiting with family and friends.  Willie loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He would take them all over town with him.  They enjoyed trips to the Dollar Store, Walgreens, and McDonalds where he would let them buy candy and toys and spoil them rotten.  He enjoyed fishing and collecting guns and anything else that could possibly be of use in the future.  He owned a motorcycle and loved riding with his wife and friends through the Texas hill country.  He never met a stranger and would always help anyone in need.

Willie worked as a truck driver for most of his life.  He owned his own trucking company, Brown & Sons, and met many lifelong friends.  He had a passion for cooking and barbequing and was one of the best at it around.  He owned his own restaurant and catering trucks.  He enjoyed feeding and meeting new people every day.  He ended his career at TransPak as a mechanic.  He could fix almost anything so it was a great fit.  The family would like to thank Ron Wordekemper and TransPak for their unwavering love and support.

Willie’s memory will remain in the hearts of his family, friends, and all those who were honored to have had the privilege of knowing him.  His legacy will live on for generations to come, inspiring those around him with his kindheartedness, generosity and unforgettable spirit.

A celebration of life will be held in his honor at Elim Church, 3200 S. Richey, Houston, Tx 77017 on February 22, 2025 at 11am.
