Tamara Faye Zalud, 35 of Webster, Texas went to be with our Lord on October 7th, 2020. Tamara was born March 25th 1985 in Houston, Texas, the daughter of Carol Jeanette (Sanders) and Steven Lonny Shippy. She was baptized at Sagemont Church and grew up in Deer Park, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart and husband of 10 years, Nicholas Joseph Zalud, on May 22nd, 2010.
Tamara had a strong faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She delighted in numerous forms of peaceful activism desiring to help people and make our world a better place. In her profession as a campaign manager, she was held in high regards amongst her peers and worked tirelessly to be the best in her field. She had a special place in her heart for dogs, especially her baby, Puppy. She was a gifted photographer with an ability to capture the raw emotions and personal moments between people preserving memories that would last them a lifetime. One of Tamara’s greatest loves was being at the beach or on the water with friends and loved ones; she enjoyed soaking up the sun, surfing the waves, fishing, and bringing back copious amounts of sand on the car ride home.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her Nona, Kathleen Lucille Shippy of Friendswood, Texas, brother and his spouse, Tyler Wade and Angelica Garrison of Houston, Texas, sister, her spouse, niece, and nephew, Jennifer Nicole, Donovan, Mary, and Steven Young of League City, Texas as well as her Granny and Grandpa Dauenhauer, Grandma Delores, Grandpa Shippy, and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She will be missed greatly. Family and friends are comforted knowing that when she closed her beautiful eyes for the last time her suffering ended and she is now comforted in her Savior’s arms.
